Planning and Wedding and Having Fun?

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming for any bride and groom. Whether you've hired a wedding planner or not their are a million details and ideas running through your head. Of course I think hiring a wedding planner is the best way to organize yourself but their are ways to get started without going crazy. First steps are important and that's where you should focus. What kind of wedding do you want to have? Do you picture yourself getting married on a beach in the Caribbean or in an old elegant church that you and your family have been going to since you were 3? Of course the reception is important as well but without the ceremony there is no need for a reception so think about that first. From their you can picture what type of reception you want to have. Once again ask yourself where you want this to be - outdoors in a garden, in a hotel ballroom or an open loft with floor to ceiling windows?
Once these decisions have been made the rest can fall into place. Make yourself a wish list of details that are the most important to you both and then work these most important items into your budget. From here start working through your checklist and take things one by one.
Remember, this is suppose to be a fun time that you both will remember for the rest of your lives. Yes, this is cheesy to say but it's true! If you feel yourself getting stressed out in a bridezilla fashion take a step back. Call you friends and go out for drinks or coffee and don't talk about the wedding! Also, as the wedding gets closer take time out, once a week, once a month or whatever you can do to spend time with you future spouse to have fun. Not every moment needs to be about the wedding so find a way to have fun and blow off some steam!
